Each one fits perfectly next to the next. On the palate it's composed early and builds steadily, finishing long with a clean acidity that pulls the last sip out further than you expect.
One of the best Chardonnay vintages Hawke's Bay has seen.

A warm, sunny growing season with good summer rainfall kept vines healthy going into harvest. Crops came in naturally low, which concentrated what fruit remained on the vine.

95% of the blend grows on a coastal slope where afternoon sea breezes keep temperatures low and the growing season long. Shallow soils over limestone bedrock stress the vines enough to keep yields small and fruit concentrated.
The remaining 5% is from an inland block on deep gravel soils in the Bridge Pa Triangle. Warmer and more sheltered, it adds richness and body to the final blend.
